Healthcare

Modernization planned around care delivery, access, and continuity.

Healthcare technology supports clinical work, administrative operations, shared devices, remote access, facilities, vendors, and core infrastructure. Projects must improve the environment without losing sight of availability, workflow, support readiness, and recovery.

Key considerations
Clinical and administrative access
Shared devices and identity
Continuity and controlled change

Clinical technology

Reliable access depends on the full supporting environment.

Care delivery

Clinical workflow

Applications and supporting technology must remain aligned with how care is delivered.

People

Identity & access

Role, location, context, privilege, and timely authentication.

Touchpoints

Shared & mobile devices

Availability, consistency, lifecycle, application access, and supportability.

Connectivity

Network & wireless

Coverage, segmentation, resilience, capacity, and performance.

Platforms

Applications & infrastructure

Core services, interfaces, vendor dependencies, backup, and recovery.

Protection

Security

Controls that protect systems and data while preserving necessary access.

Access and support

Shared devices, identity, and support must work together.

Shared endpoints

Authentication, session behavior, profiles, application access, device consistency, physical placement, and rapid turnover between users.

Role-based access

Clinical, administrative, remote, vendor, and privileged access designed around responsibility and operating context.

Change readiness

Pilot groups, communication, support preparation, escalation, validation, and clear ownership during transition.

Lifecycle management

Standards, refresh, patching, inventory, application compatibility, exceptions, and ongoing responsibility.

Project delivery

Plan changes around clinical and operational schedules.

Healthcare projects often involve shared resources, multiple departments, clinical schedules, interfaces, vendors, and limited windows for disruption. Those dependencies need to be identified early and carried through the project plan.

MP Technology can support current-state assessment, architecture, migration planning, vendor coordination, testing, communication, rollback preparation, validation, documentation, and final operating handoff.

Selected experience

Cloud, identity, and collaboration modernization across a regional healthcare environment.

A broad Microsoft 365 and identity modernization program included approximately 4,500 mailboxes, 300 SharePoint sites, shared clinical workstations, remote users, and a large support organization. The work required migration waves, identity and MFA transition, pilot groups, communications, issue escalation, and validation across active clinical and administrative operations.

The project was completed with attention to user access, application dependencies, support readiness, escalation paths, documentation, and ownership after transition. The same operating considerations continue to inform healthcare advisory and project work.
