Manufacturing

Technology modernization aligned with production and facility operations.

Manufacturing environments connect office systems, plant networks, wireless, ERP, warehouse and shipping workflows, labeling, endpoints, physical security, vendors, and operational equipment. Projects must account for those dependencies before changes reach production.

Key considerations
Production and facility dependencies
Vendor access and support ownership
Continuity, recovery, and change windows

Operational dependencies

Production depends on systems across the plant, warehouse, office, and supply chain.

Business

Office & planning

Identity, finance, collaboration, scheduling, engineering, and core services.

Production

Plant operations

Work cells, shared endpoints, application access, equipment dependencies, network paths, and time-sensitive workflows.

Materials

Warehouse

Wireless, scanners, inventory, location, printing, and transaction flow.

Movement

Shipping & receiving

Carrier access, labels, documents, staging, visibility, and business-system integration.

External

Vendor access

Controlled remote support, equipment specialists, maintenance windows, and accountable authorization.

Operational continuity

Recovery priorities should follow the order in which the operation can resume.

Map the process

Identify the systems, networks, endpoints, printers, data flows, vendors, facilities, and manual alternatives supporting each operational stage.

Define the impact

Separate inconvenience from halted output, incorrect transactions, delayed shipping, unsafe workarounds, or unrecoverable data.

Sequence recovery

Align infrastructure, applications, network paths, identity, facility access, validation, and business readiness.

Validate the workflow

Confirm that restored technology supports the actual process, not only that an individual system is online.

Modernization planning

Coordinate technology changes across production, facilities, and vendors.

Plant and warehouse projects may involve network segmentation, wireless coverage, platform lifecycle, identity, shared endpoints, labeling, remote vendor access, backup, ERP dependencies, cameras, or access control. These systems often have different owners, support arrangements, and maintenance requirements.

MP Technology can assess the current environment, establish the target design, map dependencies, coordinate vendors, plan the implementation window, define testing and rollback, document the result, and confirm operating ownership.

Selected experience

Rebuilding the technology foundation for a manufacturing facility reopening.

Reopening a manufacturing facility required coordinated delivery across inter-building fiber, switching and wireless, server and endpoint readiness, camera coverage, physical access control, vendors, and facility construction activities. Pathways, power, building access, equipment lead times, security zones, and production-readiness milestones all affected the sequence.

The work established the infrastructure required to operate the site, validated connectivity and security systems before turnover, documented ownership and support expectations, and coordinated remaining dependencies with the broader facility plan.
